WEC – Webber, Bernhard and Hartley world champions

After the title Constructors, Porsche wins the Drivers' title with the crew of the 919 Hybrid n°17 of Bernhard-Hartley-Webber who finished in fifth place at the 6 Hours of Bahrain following mechanical problems.

The No. 18 sister car of Jani-Lieb-Dumas scored its first victory of the season by beating the No. 7 Audi of Tréluyer-Fässler-Lotterer. The winning team from the Stuttgart manufacturer indirectly allowed the sister car to be titled by preventing a victory for the direct opponents in the Championship.

The TS040 Hybrid n°2 Conway-Sarrazin-Wurz completes the top three, giving the Japanese manufacturer its second podium of the season. It's a great result for Alexander Wurz who competed in the last race of his career.

G-Drive Racing secures LMP2 Drivers and Teams titles with the No. 2 Ligier JS P26 of Canal-Rusinov-Bird which scored another success on the Sakhir track by finishing ahead of the Oreca 05 KCMG of Tandy-Howson-Bradley. L'Alpine A450b of Chatin-Panciatici-Dillmann gave up third place in the very last moments to the No. 2 Ligier JS P28 of Derani-Yacaman-Gonzalez.

Richard Lietz, driver of the No. 911 91 RSR, won the GTE Pro title even though it was the crew of the No. 92 Porsche made up of Makowiecki-Pilet who won ahead of the Ferrari n°51 by Bruni-Vilander and theAston Martin #97 of Turner-Adam after leading the category throughout the race. The German brand is also crowned among the Manufacturers while Team Manthey receives honors among the Teams.

If Aston Martin won in GTE Am in Bahrain with the #98 of Lauda-Dalla Lana-Lamy, it was SMP Racing which won the Teams title with Shaytar-Bertolini-Basov, drivers of the #72 Ferrari which finished fifth in the category.
