By taking the start of the French Grand Prix last Sunday, Max Verstappen became the most successful pilot from the history of Red Bull. With 130 Grands Prix under the colors of the energy drink, the reigning world champion is ahead of Mark Webber and his 129 races between 2007 and 2013.

Verstappen, the most successful driver but not the most prolific

The relationship between Max Verstappen and Red Bull couldn't have started better. Promoted to starter in place of Daniil Kvyat from the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, 5e round of the season, the Batavian started his adventure with a victory when he was only 18 years, 7 months and 15 days old, making him the youngest winner in the history of the Formula 1.

Since then, the Dutchman has gleaned 26 other successes in 129 Grands Prix. A performance which allowed him to settle in 2e rank in the winners' classification at Red Bull. If he is the most successful driver, Max Verstappen is in fact not the prolific. With 27 career victories, the 2021 world champion is still 11 lengths behind Sebastien's 38 triumphs Hag obtained between 2009 and 2014, his glorious era when he was titled 4 times in a row.

On the podium one out of two Grand Prix

Note that among his 27 victories with the Austrian structure, the son of Jos Verstappen, former Formula 1 driver, signed 4 hat tricks (pole position + victory + best lap in the race) in France, Austria, Abu Dhabi and in Imola, as well as 2 Grand Slams (pole position + victory + best lap in the race + start-to-finish leader) in Austria last year and more recently in Imola.

In addition to his 27 victories, Max Verstappen has a good record in terms of podium appearances. Since his arrival at the Taureau Rouge a little over 6 years ago, the Batavian has been on the box 69 times, a success rate of 53%, a little more than one Grand Prix in two on average.

In addition to his podiums, the native of Hasselt (Belgium) signed 16 pole positions, achieved 19 fastest laps in the race and led 1.
