2015, “the year of reconstruction” for Ferrari

The 2014 season was stormy for the Team Ferrari. The departures of Luca di Montezemolo, Stefano Domenicali, Marco Mattiacci, Fernando Alonsowithout forgetting Pat Fry and Nikolas Tombazis, testify to the renewal of the workforce and the rethinking operated within the walls of the Italian stable. With no victories and fourth place in the Championship this year, the Prancing Horse is impatient to turn the page.

But the arrival of Sebastian Vettel will not be enough to turn the tide. Sergio Marchionne, the new President of Ferrari who succeeded Luca di Montezemolo, is fully aware of this. « We must forget 2014, I do not want to talk about it anymore ", said the Italian during a press conference held in Fiorano (Italy). “We started late with the 2015 car. I don't share certain choices and strategies taken by others. 2015 will be a difficult year which will be a real test for the team. It will be the year of reconstruction and the first full season of Maurizio (Arrivabene, the Team Principal who succeeds Marco Mattiacci). »

Sergio Marchionne, however, seems confident about Scuderia Ferrari's ability to return to the forefront. “Without underestimating the difficulty and importance of the task, I think that Ferrari can reach the position (of Mercedes) end of 2015. Part of the work has already begun. We must succeed in replicating their success. »
