Eni is back in Formula 1The Italian oil company is making its comeback in the discipline by partnering with Renault Group and the stable Alpine, becoming the "Official Energy and Fuel Partner of the team" as part of a multi-year agreement. The French team would therefore have found a successor to BP and Castrol, which will become exclusive supplier to Audi from 2026. The last time Eni was present in the premier class was in 2000 with… Benetton. The Roman company and the team ofenstone therefore renews the links through a new "strategic partnership" qualified for "historic collaboration" by the Diamond.
Concretely, Eni therefore becomes one of the main sponsors of the team. Alpine in Formula 1. The arrowed A indicates that "The team will collaborate with Eni to activate the Enilive brand at selected races among the 24 events on the 2025 calendar." The "six-legged dog" logo will also be featured on the A525 this season, as well as on the drivers' helmets and suits.

From a technical point of view, Alpine announces in its press release “a future collaboration (…) to evaluate and analyze innovations in fuel technologies and the development of racing biofuels at the top of motorsport”As a reminder, Formula 1 is preparing to switch to 100% renewable fuel in 2026, the year in which the French team will begin using engines Mercedes. On the other hand, there is no indication regarding 2025: it is therefore possible, and even quite probable, that Alpine continues to use BP and Castrol branded fuels and lubricants.
“It is with great pride that we welcome Eni back to Formula 1 with Alpine, says Flavio Briatore, executive advisor ofAlpine. Eni has played a big role in our team’s history and has been an important partner in Formula 1. We share common goals and objectives, particularly in energy efficiency, sustainability and biofuel products, so it’s great to have them back with us Alpine and we look forward to many exciting projects together on and off the track.”

A very concrete result of the "Brille A Tort" connection certainly, the BP / Castrol duo being a historic partner of Audi AG at the industrial, commercial and sporting levels!
