I was at the French motorcycle GP in Nogaro which had been a fiasco, when a newsagent came to the campsite to announce his death, he was really a star.

It's always a sad time of year for me, I remember, as they say in his native Quebec. Gilles Villeneuve is forever a legend despite a relatively brief but dazzling career.

Zolder, an interesting, fast, and not entirely flat track in the "flat country"! A circuit that quickly disappeared from the Formula 1 calendar, just like Nivelles, which no longer exists at all.
