March 17, 2019:  his first Grand Prix

It was a few days before his 23rd birthday that Alex Albon made his debut in Formula 1. Associated with the Russian Daniil Kvyat at Toro Rosso, he became at the 2019 Australian Grand Prix the second Thai driver in the history of the discipline since Prince Bira in 1954. Thirteenth in qualifying, Albon finished in 14th place in his first Formula Grand Prix. 1.

March 31, 2019: his first points in F1

It didn't take long for Alex Albon to distinguish himself in the premier category of motorsport. 12th in qualifying for the 2019 Bahrain Grand Prix, the Thai climbed into the points in his second race in Formula 1 by finishing in ninth place, while his teammate Daniil Kvyat had to settle for 12th. Here again, he became the second Thai driver to score points in F1 since Prince Bira at the 1954 French Grand Prix.

September 1, 2019: his first Grand Prix with Red Bull

After a first half of the 2019 season in which he finished in the points five times, with a 6th place in Germany as his best result, Alex Albon was promoted to Red Bull during the summer break. The Thai thus inherited the seat of Pierre Gasly alongside Max Verstappen for the 2019 Belgian Grand Prix. At Spa-Francorchamps, he took 5th position for his first race with the Austrian team.

September 13, 2020: his first podium in F1

It was more than a year after his first appearance with Red Bull that Alex Albon achieved his first podium in Formula 1, during the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix contested on the Mugello track (Italy). At the end of a race marked by numerous accidents (only 12 drivers at the finish), Albon overcame the Renault de Daniel Ricciardo on the outside of turn 1 on the 51st of 59 laps to get on the box behind Lewis Hamilton et Valtteri Bottas. He scored a second podium in Bahrain later in the season, his last. Two results which did not allow him to keep his place in Red Bull at the end of the season since he was replaced by Sergio Pérez. 

March 20, 2022: his first race with Williams

Deprived of a starting place in F1, Alex Albon took refuge in DTM for the year 2021. At the wheel of a Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 in AlphaTauri AF Corse colors, the driver from London (England) won a victory at the Nürburgring for a final 6th place in the championship. He will finally be repatriated to F1 by Williams for the 2022 season.

After a convincing year with the Grove team (United Kingdom), he was retained by the British team before enjoying a full season in 2023, scoring 27 of the team's 28 points and taking Williams to 7th place. in the Manufacturers' Championship, his best ranking since 2017. A campaign which has restored credit to the Thai, now coveted by top-of-the-table teams...
