Ferrari returned to the track this Tuesday in Andalusia as part of the 2022 Pirelli tests.
With the 110 laps completed yesterday during the opening day, Charles Leclerc et Carlos Sainz added 85 rotations of the Jerez de la Frontera circuit.
The Maranello starters first tested Italian intermediate prototypes before putting on slicks. Pirelli has 30 days in 2021 to develop the 18-inch casings which will be introduced in Formula 1 next season.
All teams on the field will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new transalpine products. These tire tests will resume on Wednesday.
We're testing our 2022 # Fit4F1 18-inch tires for the second day with @ScuderiaFerrari at @circuitodejerez. On the menu for today are some intermediate runs to dry the track, followed by slick tire testing for the rest of the day. It’s a sunny but quite cool day: 11 degrees. @F1 pic.twitter.com/hXVzDJqL4E
