In Jerez, Esteban Ocon comes out of "the best day of testing I have ever done"

The 2025 season is launched for Esteban Ocon. Newly recruited after Haas, the Norman continues his work of adaptation within his new home after 5 campaigns under the colors of Renault et Alpine.
This week, the Tricolore was in Jerez (Spain) where his new team organized the first TPC (Testing of Previous Cars) in its history. The opportunity for him to familiarize himself a little more with his engineers, the team's different systems and the block Ferrari, and his steering wheel, he who used that of the Diamond between 2020 and 2024.
Haas therefore worked there for two days with its two regular drivers, Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon, as well as Ritomo Miyata, entered in F2 with ART Grand Prix and above all representative of Toyota, the technical partner of the stable since the end of last year.
The Frenchman had the chance to drive the VF-23 all morning on Thursday, entered during the 2023 campaign with Kevin Magnussen et Nico Hulkenberg. His second experience behind the wheel of a Haas after having driven with the VF-24 on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi tests in December, he who had been sidelined by Alpine for the last Grand Prix of the season.
While the team led by Ayao Komatsu did not reveal any information regarding Esteban Ocon's performance, the driver did say a few words suggesting that he probably had his best day of testing in F1.
« It's great to be back on track, smiled-he. I felt really comfortable. I honestly think it was the best day of testing I've ever done. We completed the entire program.
It was a pleasure to be behind the wheel of the VF-23, which I was able to discover for the first time. It was the first time I had been to Jerez in 10 years, a very fast circuit. It was fun. It makes me want to get back behind the wheel as soon as possible, and that will be the case. In the meantime, we are going back to training in the next few days »
