At Silverstone, Norris breaks a McLaren record

Arrived in Formula 1 in 2019, Lando Norris quickly showed the full extent of his talent on the track. McLaren in constant progress over the last three seasons, the Englishman is now among the major players of the season and his figures speak for themselves.

After ten races, the Bristol native is in 3rd place in the drivers' standings and has already beaten his points record dating from last season (97) since he has 113 after the British Grand Prix. A Grand Prix which also allowed him to take the lead in a very prestigious ranking within the Woking structure.

Without making too much noise at Silverstone, Lando Norris, who could have claimed the podium without a missed pit stop, signed his 15th straight finish in the points. A series never seen at McLaren and started during the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix last November!

Until now, the record for the team created by Bruce McLaren dated from 2007. That year, Fernando Alonso, a newcomer to Woking, had finished 14 times in a row in the Top 10 between Australia and Belgium.

Other big names appear in this ranking. Lewis Hamilton, whose F1 debut was made with McLaren in 2007, scored at least one point for ten races in a row between the 2010 and 2011 seasons, just like Jenson Button who repeated the feat between 2011 and 2012.

McLaren driver for seven years, Alain Prost has chained 9 Grands Prix in the points on three occasions. Ayrton Senna has never been able to exceed the bar of 8 consecutive races in the points.

Slowly but surely, Lando Norris is making a name for himself in the world of Formula 1. Very consistent, the Englishman must continue this momentum in order to regularly fight at the front and thus achieve his main objective: the world crown.
