Abiteboul: Honda remains behind Renault

Cyril Abiteboul had to speak out again to respond to recent criticisms made by Red Bull Racing abandoning the Diamond for Honda. If the Milton Keynes team claims that it will have a more efficient engine manufacturer who is more dedicated to its customer, the general manager of Renault F1 Team ensures that the Japanese supplier remains below the performance of the French Power Unit.

“Honda remains 20 kilowatts from us, he said in Trademarks. I know what Red Bull says, but they are hiding facts and manipulating data. I understand their communication strategy, but they are not based on facts. We will realize that Honda is 20 kilowatts less than us and that they have not progressed compared to their current situation. »

Renault will continue to supply McLaren next year in addition to its official team. The two Red Bull teams will have Power Units from the Japanese engine manufacturer.
