Abiteboul: Renault is thinking of other drivers

Si Nico Hulkenberg scored 18 points for Renault Sport F1 Team teammate Jolyon Palmer is still looking for his first top ten. The former GP2 champion remains on two 11th places obtained in Monaco and Montreal (Canada) and must now deal with media pressure which suggests a replacement.

We are thinking about other drivers for the future because we need two drivers to progress. He knows what he must do to achieve the objectives set, he has the potential, but the media pressure does not help him get out of this situation. »

Jolyon Palmer's future remains uncertain. The rumors focus in particular on a possible replacement of the Briton by Robert Kubica, the Pole having returned to the spotlight following his test session with Renault at the wheel of a Lotus E20 on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia (Spain) on Tuesday June 6.
