Albon: “This 6th place disappointed me a little”

Alexander albon was one of the big winners of the German GP where the rain completely shook up the hierarchy. The pilot Toro Rosso took advantage of a great strategy from his team to climb into the Top 5 for most of the race.

“I was lucky, admitted the Thai. I was hoping for rain during the race. I am very satisfied with my performance and that of the team who made good stops on both cars. I was able to ride at the front, occupying 5th place for a large part of the race and I think we had the pace to deserve this position. »

Alexander Albon's race was disrupted by a fight with Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes).

“I almost had to fight with Lewis. I didn't really want that, but he made a mistake and I figured he wasn't really in my race anymore. I focused more on Carlos (Sainz Jr) who followed me. I wanted to conclude the duel but I lost two places in history”, he explained.

Alexander Albon, however, had great success in crossing the finish line. The Thai was in a fight with Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) until the two drivers collide.

“I ended with a strange feeling. This 6th place ultimately disappointed me a little. It's one of those racing incidents where no one is to blame. I think the drivers at the back know they can take their chances.", he added.
