Albon says more about relegation: 'I can't lie, it hurts'

Arrived at the place of Pierre Gasly in the summer of 2019 due to insufficient results from the Frenchman at Red Bull, Alexander albon suffered an identical fate a year and a half later. The Thai will go down a level and will serve as a reserve driver for the team in 2021.

Replaced by Sergio Pérez after the final Grand Prix of the season in Abu Dhabi, Alexander Albon broke the silence through a message on his Instagram account, Sunday December 20.

« I can't lie guys, it hurts. I gave everything but it wasn't enough. I would like to thank you all for your support this year. Amidst all these headwinds and different opinions, you (the supporters) always made me want to get through it.

I'm not giving up, I've dedicated my life to this and I won't let it stop here. I have more to give and my goal is to return in 2022.”
