This Sunday in Miami, regarding the mid-pack teams, the good deal was clearly for WilliamsGrove's team had the fourth best car behind the McLaren, Mercedes et Red Bull. And showed it thanks to an Alex Albon imperial.

Started 7th, behind his teammate Carlos Sainz, the Thai finally finished in 5th place. Never worried by the Ferrari, lacking performance this weekend, and very little by Antonelli (6th), he thus equaled his best result with Williams, achieved this season in Australia.

At the end of the race, Albon obviously did not hide his satisfaction. "It was probably the best weekend we've had as a team. We overtook a Mercedes, we put the Ferraris away from us. I even caught the Red Bull! It was a truly unique weekend. From the first lap of the first practice session, I had a good car.", he assured the Canal + microphone.

Albon: "This is just the beginning"

According to him, this excellent result will lead to others. "This is just the beginning, I'd like to tell you. We'll build from this. I don't think there will be any tracks that suit us as well as this weekend over the rest of the year. We now know that there are several types of tracks on which the car has performed well.", he further analyzed.

"There are still gaps, but we're able to compete with the best teams in some races. We're clearly heading in the right direction.", concluded Albon. His teammate Carlos Sainz also had pace this Sunday. But the Spaniard ultimately finished behind the two Ferraris, in ninth place.
