Alfa Romeo hires Alessandro Cinelli

Alfa Romeo continues its growth in the technical sector by hiring Alessandro Cinelli. The Italian will arrive from Ferrari where he was the head of the experimental aerodynamics group and will thus occupy the former position of Jan Monchaux who became technical director of the Italian team.

“I look forward to taking on this new challenge within a very talented staff as chief aerodynamicist, comments Alessandro Cinelli. I join this young team with the mission of building solid foundations that have already brought results on the track. I am sure that we will continue in the right direction and bring further success to this team. »

A graduate in aeronautical engineering at Imperial College London, Alessandro Cinelli arrived in F1 at Tyrelli as an aerodynamicist in 1997 and 1998 before joining Williams until 2002. He had since defended the interests of the Scuderia.
