Alguersuari collects disappointments in F1

Jaime Alguersuari had hinted that he would be back on the starting grids for Grands Prix this year. After being ousted by Red Bull from the stable of Toro Rosso at the end of the 2011 season like his teammate at the time Sébastien Buemi (who remained a test driver for the Red Bull), the Spaniard kept one foot in the discipline by becoming a test driver for Pirelli. However, the Hispanic driver was probably in advanced discussions with Force India, but his name no longer appears in the list of contenders for the position of Paul di Resta's teammate.

The former Toro Rosso driver is particularly disappointed with the choice of Vijay Mallya's team, which adds to his previous disappointment with the Faenza team. “I never imagined that after Red Bull's incomprehensible decision not to count on me in 2012, where I had my best season in F1 (14th place in the Championship), having to fight so much off the track without having a steering wheel in F1 in 2013. I assure everyone that I was convinced for most of the 2012 season that my steering wheel was booked in a stable with good results. They told me and I thought it was true. With such certainty, I missed other opportunities in other Championships. F1 has become an auction. Is my F1 career over at 22? Despite all this, I still believe that it is not. I will continue to stay active and log more miles than any third rider in this discipline. I know my age, my skills on the track and I am convinced that I deserve an F1 car capable of winning. I will continue to fight for it. »
