Alguersuari: “A positive week”

Jaime Alguersuari, best time of the day on Friday, had “taken advantage” of the arrival of the rain, his time remaining at the top of the timesheet all day. This Saturday, Toro Rosso did not work on performance and the young Spaniard thus finished with the tenth and last time in the field. The Faenza team worked in particular on the settings in racing configuration, before testing Bridgestone's "soft" and "medium" tires and comparing certain aerodynamic elements.

After these four days of testing, the team congratulates the work accomplished. “ With 98 seats today, we have completed the program planned for this week and have accumulated a lot of data, which we will study in order to prepare the next test, confides Laurent Mekies, chief engineer. The past four days were satisfactory, because the car kept on being on track and our two drivers didn't make any mistakes, which always helps! »

For his part, Jaime Alguersuari was happy with these two days on the Jerez track. “ I'm happy with how these tests went, declares the Spaniard. It was very useful to drive the car with different amounts of fuel and in different conditions, in the dry, the wet, even “in between”. Overall, it was a positive week for me and the team. »
