Without a doubt, the first three races carried out by Fernando Alonso in this 2025 season constitute one of the big disappointments of these first weeks of competition. Having not finished either of the first two meetings of the season, the double World Champion wishes above all to remember the developments made which allowed him to win the 11e place last Sunday in Suzuka.

Already victorious on the Sakhir circuit in the past, the bull from Asturias also recalls his sparkling debut in green in 2023. "It's been a great adventure together, especially coming back here to Bahrain. From our first race, that podium finish was incredible. I'm happy, proud, to be part of this family." Aston Martin. Now let's go for another 50 races!”

Aston Martin tries to get back on track

"We identified some issues with the car after the race, and we'll try to fix them. The team is working hard to improve performance. Here in Bahrain, we have another good opportunity after the winter tests; we've learned a lot after the first three GPs. I remain confident and optimistic for the rest of the season."

A natural leader of his team, Fernando Alonso made his experience count by having the same tone of voice as his younger counterparts such as Jack Doohan or Kimi Antonelli on tire management on the demanding Sakhir track. "Bahrain is very well known for tire degradation. Some parts of the circuit are very energy-intensive for the tires, and that will be the case again this year. But when you have the fastest car, you can manage more easily." This is already a clear message sent to the leaders who will be fighting for victory this Sunday.

A Fernand who is politically correct with his employer, who will make him (or has made him?) a brand ambassador when he hangs up his helmet and gloves. In the meantime, he's going to give us one of his best GPs yet... like at Suzuka!
