Defeated by an RB7 and a Sebastian Vettel at the top, Fernando Alonso intends to restore the image of the Prancing Horse by winning on the Italian high-speed circuit, as he has already done in the past with style.

Fernando Alonso has already won several times in front of fans, his first victory at Monza dating back to 2007 when he was playing for the team. But I had a completely different feeling in 2010 with the same result with Ferrari. I particularly liked passing the podium, looking at nearly 20 people waving Ferrari flags: an image that is difficult to forget. »

However, the victory at Monza takes precedence over the Championship, which once again escapes the hands of Fernando Alonso, the Spaniard falling behind by 102 points with seven Grands Prix remaining at the end of the season. “We must be realistic by continuing to fight, we have not given up in the past and we will not start today”, assures the Ferrari driver. “We manage to stay motivated by thinking about victory in each race. We all want to win given the situation in the Championship. The battle remains more uncertain in the Manufacturers' Championship where we still have hopes. We will do our best until the last moments. »
