Alonso criticizes new qualifications

The implementation of the new qualifications divides the paddock of the F1. While the course of the sessions should be modified in high season from the Spanish Grand Prix played on May 15 at the Catalunya circuit in order to increase interest among spectators, some opponents believe that the result will be harmful for Sport.

“They are constantly thinking of new things to regain popularity with audiences dropping in all countries,” said Fernando Alonso à COPE radio. “But some ideas are crazy, like the new qualifications system which is much more complex than the previous one. We're going to give our viewers more headaches. It's getting a little hard to follow for the public who just want to see loud cars with big tires constantly overtaking each other on TV, but we don't have that right now. »

The new qualifications were scheduled for the start of the 2016 season at the Australian Grand Prix on March 20 in Melbourne, but a postponement was announced due to software problems.
