Alonso relaxed before the restart

The first driver of the team Maranello is preparing for the resumption of the discipline, which will make its comeback this weekend on the Belgian Ardennes circuit. “ I really want to get back on the track, without any feeling of anxiety, but rather with a calm state of mind. I am happy that this return to competition will take place with two special events, the Belgian and Italian Grand Prix. »

Fernando Alonso knows that the next two races will be very important for the Championship, because the Ferraris will have the opportunity to take big points, on tracks where the Maranello cars are very efficient. “ The Belgian circuit is certainly the most attractive of the season, while Monza will be very special for me », added the Spaniard. “ This will be my first race in front of Italian spectators as a Ferrari driver. »

The former pilot Renault is confident, after the last good results obtained before the summer break. The Maranello drivers must now continue this momentum. “ I have a good feeling after the positive results obtained in Germany and Hungary. We must continue our recovery, which should be the case at Spa, to ensure we are at the same pace as before the holidays. The results in Hockenheim and Budapest were important, not only for the Championships, but also for confidence. We must continue on this path. »

After two victories in Bahrain and Germany, Fernando Alonso could soon score other victories. He is currently in fifth place in the standings, just six points behind Jenson Button, and 20 points behind leader Mark Webber.
