Alonso and Perez create the feat at Sepang

La Team Ferrari can congratulate itself on having chosen Fernando Alonso as the first driver of his team. The Asturian won at the end of a Malaysian Grand Prix where the cards were completely redistributed by the rain. After a red flag occurred on the ninth lap due to a violent storm, the Ferrari driver, new leader of the Championship, took the best to take the lead of the race at the end of the pit stops of the drivers who preferred to take the intermediate tires with rain rubber imposed by the marshals for the restart. The double world champion found himself in a duel against Sergio Perez (Sauber), who had taken advantage of the race interruption to climb to the front after choosing to stay on the track unlike the rest of the peloton. The Mexican then distinguished himself by being the fastest on the track and will have to settle for second place only after making a slight error at the end of the race.

Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) signs the same result as in Australia after also achieving pole. The Briton fell in the standings by losing time in the pits. His teammate Jenson Button lost everything when he damaged his front wing in a collision with Narain karthikeyan (HRT). Mark Webber (Red Bull) failed at the foot of the podium and preceded his teammate Sebastian Vettel before the reigning champion fell back to 11th place while also suffering contact with the Indian in the last laps. This allows Kimi Räikkönen (Lotus) to take fifth place ahead of Bruno Senna, author of a very good performance at the wheel of the Williams FW34. His teammate Pastor Maldonado was in tenth position, but the Venezuelan once again retired in the final moments with a mechanical problem. Jean-Eric Vergne (Toro Rosso) won his first points with an eighth place, finishing between Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg, both Force India drivers. Michael Schumacher (Mercedes) completes the top ten after falling in the rankings at the start of the race following a collision with Romain Grosjean (Lotus). The Frenchman retired on the fourth lap after leaving the track. His compatriot Charles Pic (Marussia) finished in 20th position, two laps behind the winner.
