Fernando, you didn't score any points in Istanbul. How do you analyze this Turkish Grand Prix?
Istanbul was a very frustrating race for the whole team. The track conditions were poor at the start of the weekend, so we had to work hard to find the right balance. For the qualifying session, we decided not to be too loaded with fuel: I was therefore the lightest in the top 10. When you stop early to refuel, you risk finding yourself in the middle of the peloton when ?we get back on the trail, and that?s exactly what happened to me. I gave everything I could but we only managed to finish tenth, which is frustrating.

Do you think the team will be able to move up the hierarchy in this second half of the season?
I have great confidence in the team and I know that all its members are working hard to improve the situation. We have been together for a long time now and we have proven in the past that we never give up. That said, we have to be realistic: all the teams are working hard to develop their cars too, so it is not easy to take a big step forward. We must continue our efforts and bring new technical solutions to each race to be able to fight for podiums on a regular basis.

What state of mind are you in as the British Grand Prix approaches?
I remain optimistic and I am determined to achieve a better result at Silverstone. The R29 has always performed well in the fast corners, so we should be more competitive this weekend. In addition, we will evaluate new elements that should improve our performance. As far as the circuit is concerned, it is a superb place to drive a Formula 1 and, as it may be the last British Grand Prix at Silverstone, I want to enjoy it.
