Alonso: “Hamilton is not done”

Fernando Alonso observed from a distance the conquest of the 5th title of Lewis Hamilton who secured the title at the end of the Mexican GP last weekend. The pilot McLaren who won two world titles with Renault F1 knows the efforts made to obtain such a result and the circumstances which help to make the difference while his last podium in the discipline dates back to the 2014 Hungarian GP with Ferrari.

“It’s difficult to make a comparison in different times of F1, recognized Fernando Alonso asked to compare the performance of Lewis Hamilton against Juan Manuel Fangio and Michael Schumacher. We sometimes fight for the title until the last race, sometimes against our teammate. Lewis lost a title to Nico (Rosberg, in 2016). But he’s one of the best and he should be happy with it. And he's not done yet. He should enter the next season as the favorite and that is a good thing. »

Fernando Alonso believes that Lewis Hamilton is in the best conditions to continue his series of titles. The double world champion knows what he is talking about, he who dominates the WEC with Toyota Gazoo Racing.

“He was in the right place at the right time in the right car. You have to have these things with you to win so many titles,” added the Asturian.
