Alonso doesn't plan to take a break in 2016

Ron Dennis has once again made the headlines in the specialized press. The group director McLaren suggested that Fernando Alonso could take a sabbatical next year, the time for the Woking team to put itself back at the forefront after its move to the Honda Power Unit. “I have an open mind. Some ideas like gap years have been discussed”, commented the British businessman.

Fernando Alonso quickly reacted by ensuring that he intended to be there in 2016. “I’ve discussed many things but not at this time of year. We are much more positive than before with the recent performances of the car. We haven't discussed it for four or five months. My intention is to ride and I think I will ride », replied the double world champion, quoted by the BBC.

Fernando Alonso's contract with McLaren-Honda will end in 2017. The Asturian took 17th position at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
