Alonso: “Don’t think about the championship”

Despite his convincing victory last Sunday at Silverstone, Fernando Alonso is well aware that the gap of 92 points separating him from Sebastian Vettel in the championship will be very difficult to fill. The pilot Ferrari refuses to talk about titles.

“This victory will not change our approach for the next races, admits the Spaniard. We must be realistic. 92 points is a very significant difference. We will take the races one by one, and try to win as many as possible. This means taking a little more risk, and perhaps we will pay the price for it, but there is no alternative. We are not giving up, but we must not think about the championship. »

We will have understood it well, at Ferrari, we will only do the calculations on the evening of the last Grand Prix, at Interlagos on November 27.
