Alonso doesn't regret Ferrari yet

Since his return home McLaren in 2015, Fernando Alonso always said that he did not regret his departure from the Team despite the strong comeback of Ferrari and the poor performances of the Woking team with Honda.

After seeing Sebastian Vettel winning three times last year, the double world champion nevertheless admitted that he would have remorse for leaving Maranello if the Prancing Horse won the Drivers' title.

“I will probably have regrets if they win the Championship because I had a contract with them which was valid until the end of this year. I might feel like I missed my chance if I was able to be as fast as the champion”, explained Fernando Alonso in the paddock of the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

Fernando Alonso also assured that the places of honor did not count for him and that the title remained his only objective.

“You can never be happy when you don’t win. Only one driver and one team are, all the others are in the same position… The pain is the same whether you finish second or 21st because you don’t win.”, added the Asturian with perhaps a hint of exaggeration.
