Alonso: “No improvements with McLaren since the Spanish GP”

Fernando Alonso was pessimistic about the situation at McLaren at the end of the year, while the double world champion competes in his last Grands Prix at the wheel of the MCL33.

The Asturian even seems resigned after finishing in 14th place twice in Sochi (Russia) and Suzuka (Japan). The future retiree of the F1 has only won points twice in the last seven Grands Prix.

“We haven’t seen any improvement since Spain, commented Fernando Alonso who took 8th place in Barcelona last May. We can see in the photos and on the track that the other teams bring things race after race and that we don't do that. We don't have the same car since Sochi. In fact, it's been the same since last year. »

Fernando Alonso competes this weekend the 6 Hours of Fuji (Japon) avec Toyota dans un championnat où il est en mesure de décrocher un 3e titre mondial après sa victoire aux 24 Hours of Le Mans.

“In a championship, I try to help my team finish 6th. In the other, I fight to become world champion. My goal is obvious”, added the Spaniard.
