Alonso: 'Nothing to worry about'

Once again, the hierarchy displayed during winter testing was not necessarily confirmed during the first Grand Prix. If Red Bull lived up to expectations, McLaren surprised, and Mercedes GP and above all Ferrari disappointed.

Fernando Alonso however managed to limit the damage by finishing fourth. For the Spaniard, this result is therefore not alarming.

“It's not the departure we all wanted, but there's nothing to worry about either, underlines the double Spanish world champion. Two title contenders finished behind me. This Australian Grand Prix cannot therefore be described as disastrous. In qualifying, we were very far from Hag and far fromHamilton, but during the race it was better. Maybe compared to Sebastian, but compared to the others that's certain. The departure was catastrophic. If I had not fallen back to ninth position at the end of the first lap, I would have been able to fight for second or third on the podium. »

It's up to Ferrari to get back up to speed from Sepang next week.
