For Fernando Alonso, it is more the qualities of his F10 that can make him the 2010 World Champion, and not necessarily the experience acquired over the years.

Alonso prefers speed over experience

Fernando Alonso, winner of the Singapore Grand Prix, has moved significantly closer to Mark Webber, being only eleven points behind the leader of the standings. Double World Champion, the Spaniard will be able to benefit from his experience in the title race but, according to him, this is not what will be decisive.

« The car is the most important thing, that’s what can make the difference, tells us the native of Oviedo. It?s better to have two tenths more performance compared to others than all the experience in the world. It's more important to be fast than experienced »

In addition, Fernando Alonso believes that the past of his team could help him in this final stretch of the season. “ What I know is that Ferrari has already won 16 world championships, so at times like this we're not too stressed. For Red Bull, it's the first time they have had the opportunity to be titled so maybe they are more stressed? »

However, if the Spaniard confides that his personal experience could be an asset, he believes that it is not the most important. “ I think that for the last races you can be very calm, know exactly what is going to happen, to prepare the car well. But I just said it, I'd rather have a new rear wing than all the experience in the world. »
