Knowing the rather hot character of Fernando Alonso when things don't quite go his way, one could imagine that some frustration could build for the Spaniard, who has signed for the next two seasons with the British team. None of that, he assures.

« I enjoy the journey”, he told RacingNews365. « We want to be champions. We want to be competitive next year and seize the big opportunity of 2026. Now is not the time to be frustrated. Only the champion is not frustrated at the end of the year

So many elements that allow Fernando Alonso to maintain hope and not let himself be overcome by any form of frustration with his current situation. It is still true that the Spaniard seems to be in greater difficulty in recent races, notably against his teammate Lance Stroll, whom he had easily measured during the 2023 season. Alonso, double world champion, puts things into perspective in knowing that in the end, only one driver is fully satisfied at the end of the championship.

« NWell, I won't talk about frustration. I think that's the nature of sport. At the end of the day, we're not happy with our position, that's for sure. But in December, only one man will be happy. Second in the championship will probably be more frustrated than me in Abu Dhabi, third and fourth as well, etc. That's the nature of sport. »
