Alonso delights Monaco

Behind, Barrichello, Räikkönen and Massa are also under 1?16?? while the two BMWs have the two worst times in the field.

The end of the session confirms the domination of Lewis Hamilton in the streets of the principality since the Briton improves another time (1:15:389), better than Massa's time in 2008 during qualifying. Far from being lagging behind, the Force India of Sutil and Fisichella are sneaking into the Top 10, just like Bourdais, eighth a quarter of an hour from the end of the session (1:16??613). Another world champion, Kimi Räikkönen, took the reference time (1:15:382), his teammate Massa being third.

Jenson Button, who has been in the background since Thursday, stood out by setting the best time (1:15:233). Alonso took advantage of the last minutes to come out of the pits and set the second time (1:15??273), before passing in front of the entire field (1:15??164). A superb time for the Spaniard, while his teammate is only fifteenth. Behind Alonso, we find the drivers of the Brawn, Mc Laren and Ferrari in the Top 7.
