Will Alonso save Ferrari in Bahrain?

Fernando Alonso had won his first victory with the Scuderia in his first race with Maranello. The Sakhir circuit has often smiled on Ferrari and the double world champion, but the latter is aware that things are likely to be different this year. “I expect us to have another difficult weekend. This will be logical partly because of the characteristics of the circuit but also because we will have the same car than in Shanghai. We have had good results in Bahrain: the team has four victories and I have had three, the last being my first race with the Prancing Horse. But the past does not count in this sport and this weekend it will be about limiting the damage. »

If the situation is difficult for the Asturian, the Ferrari driver proves that he remains combative as much by his attitude on the track as by his words. “The Championship is very open and many teams can claim victory, but we clearly need to improve to be competitive if we want to be at the top of the bill at the end”, admits the Scuderia driver once again. “I have confidence in the team and I know that everyone at Maranello is doing their best to achieve this goal. We will do our best this weekend and I hope to race with less traffic than the previous Sunday. »
