Fernando Alonso can be satisfied with his qualifications at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since the double world champion took 8th place on the grid at Yas Marina (after the Red Bull disqualification) by qualifying in the last qualifying session. However, his lack of running following an electrical problem and an engine change practically caused him to miss two sessions, which risks greatly penalizing him in the race as he competes in his last Grand Prix with the colors of Ferrari.
“These qualifications were very difficult because the weekend was more complicated than usual”, recognized the Asturian. “The engine change after the last practice session added some problems and I had to wait until Q2 before getting consistent performance. I expect to struggle tomorrow, especially because we weren't able to do a single practice at the start and I haven't ridden on a full tank yet. But I still want to give the best of myself and win as many places as possible. It will be a special day for me. »
