Alonso aims to bounce back from Singapore disappointment

After a very good start at the Singapore Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso was a collateral victim of the incident between the two Ferrari et Max Verstappen who damaged his car to a point where he was no longer able to continue the race.

« After Singapore, I can't wait to get back on track and go further than the first corner in Malaysia ! explains the Spaniard. Of course, we were very disappointed in Singapore and it's difficult to contain your frustration when you are the collateral victim of an incident.

“I know we had the potential to be very competitive, one of the few times this year, and it's a shame we couldn't get points, but these things happen."

While he wants to bounce back after this disappointment, Fernando Alonso will encounter a major problem in Malaysia which is a circuit made for engines. It will be more difficult for the pilot to shine McLaren who is well aware of this.

« About the settings, Sepang will be more difficult for us as the straights demand engine power, but the track is a mix of different characteristics, so we will see how much we can gain in the slower corners."
