AlphaTauri running with the AT02 and its new nose at Imola

After continuing to accumulate kilometers behind the wheel of the Toro Rosso STR14 lined up in 2019, the Japanese Yuki tsunoda, who is preparing to make his debut in F1, had the honors of the new AT02 this Wednesday morning, before passing the baton to his teammate Pierre Gasly, which played in the morning with the STR14. 

This was the opportunity to see this new aquiline nose in which the Italian team invested its 2 development tokens. The front suspension has also been redesigned. 

« I think the AT01 was the best car the team ever produced, said Jody Egginton, AlphaTauri technical director, during the launch of the ATO2. The STR14 wasn't bad but we were able to develop the AT01 throughout the season. 

In 2021, each team only has a pair of tokens to upgrade its chassis. We chose to keep the survival cell. We believe the chassis and powertrain provide us with a solid starting platform and have invested our tokens elsewhere ». 

With the hope for AlphaTauri that this new nose concept will change the face of the world hierarchy.
