Alpine looking for its 3rd driver for 2023

Who will be the 3e pilotAlpine during the 2023 season? At the moment, the question does not yet have an answer. Indeed, while she has retained the services of Pierre Gasly to compensate for the departure of Fernando Alonso (and that ofOscar piastri), the French team has not yet looked into the subject of the reservist.
The most credible lead at the moment leads to Jack Doohan. Member of the academy since 2021, the Australian seems to be the best candidate for the reservist position at Alpine. Sixth for his first year in F2, the protégé of A fléché will try his luck again in 2023, still with Virtuosi.

Martins, the other possibility ofAlpine ?
Among the members of his academy, Alpine can also rely on the talent of Victor Martins, crowned champion of F3 in 2022. However, the Parisian seems to be leaving with a slight delay compared to Jack Doohan.
Back in the French house for a year, the Frenchman has still not had the opportunity to join a Formula 1. It is perhaps on this point that the Australian holds the rope to become 3e driver of the Blues in 2023 since he has already completed a free practice session (Mexico) and even participated in the end of season tests in Abu Dhabi.
Just over a month before the first Grand Prix (Bahrain March 5), Alpine will quickly have to make a decision about his 3e pilot and if we read between the lines of Otmar Szafnauer's words, Jack Doohan has a good chance of becoming one unless Victor Martins or an external pilot is preferred…
