Alpine and Mecachrome continue their collaboration

Already a partner of Renault, the entity Mechachrome will continue its collaboration with the French group via the new name of the competition division Alpine Racing.

The lease between the two structures was in fact extended by four years this Tuesday, with “a set of services with the provision by Mecachrome of a dedicated island for the development and machining of cylinder heads, cylinder blocks, timing covers and cylinder head covers as well as the provision of engine assembly services race F1 ».

Long-standing know-how, Mecachrome having even been the engine manufacturer displayed alongside Williams and Benetton (under the name Playlife) in 1998 after Renault's official withdrawal from F1 at that time.
