La F1 has she decided to reconsider Andretti's candidacy, almost a year after turning it down? It's a real trend as the big circus tackles the Las Vegas Grand Prix this weekend. According to various sources including RacingNews365, Formula 1 is finally considering opening its doors to an 11th team in 2026.
An agreement was even reached with Andretti, who had partnered with General Motors from the start via its manufacturer Cadillac. The team's identity would then have to be defined, as GM would have been asked to get more involved to strengthen the application file.

The next few weeks could therefore prove crucial for the American tandem, which would finally reach its goal after so much effort. While waiting for the final decision to be made by the governing bodies of the premier class, Andretti does not want to be caught off guard and is already preparing for the future.
This is what is implied LinkedIn profile of the structure which last April opened a base in Silverstone… a region where many teams on the current grid are based. From junior to senior, Andretti has opened 31 positions, all based at Silverstone. These concern all levels of the team, from engineers to mechanics and marketing-related positions. Greg MAFFEI who could not see Michael ANDRETTI is no longer there, the American administration is interested in the anti-competitive practices of Liberty Media (hence the ouster of MAFFEI?), Liberty Media can hardly do without a Yankee stable stamped GM / Cadillac ... everything is explained!
