Ange Pasquali: The technology and power of F1 thrilled me

If it is in the management of drivers via Quadra Sports that operates today Angel Pasquali, the Corsican’s career took him to the top of motorsport. First in the World Rally Championship with RAS Ford, then in Endurance and F1 avec les programmes de Toyota.

The former Team Manager of the Japanese F1 team returns for our section Carpooling on this rise in the world of motorsport.

« What thrilled me in F1 was the technology and its power, Ange Pasquali admits to us. Everything was exacerbated, in the sense that the slightest technical failure results in a slap on the track.

F1 also gave me the privilege of meeting people like Bernie Ecclestone. His detractors can say whatever they want, but he is someone of superior intelligence. He transformed what was a garage discipline into something exceptional.

Afterwards, it is true that Le Mans and Rally are more human than F1 where, for stupid reasons, we shouldn't talk to each other between teams. In my opinion, you exist because of what you produce. We did not invent a vaccine or save humanity. We only do motorsport, so let's try to stay humble. But F1 is a machine that demands 100% of your time. »

During his Toyota period, Ange Pasquali had already initiated the movement of sectors via a Toyota Drivers Academy, which saw many future talents such as Kamui Kobayashi, Franck Perera or Ryan Briscoe.
