Arrivabene: Red Bull reacted too late

While speculation about the future engine manufacturer of Red Bull are going well, the Team Principal of the Team Ferrari Maurizio Arrivabene is not in favor of a partnership between the Italian manufacturer and the Austrian structure. “Red Bull has no engine for 2016 and it looks like we are the culprits, but that is not the case”, indicated the Italian.

“I am certain thatthey were convinced that they would use engines Mercedes in 2016. . This is why they not only canceled the contract with Renault but also with Infiniti and Total », added Maurizio Arrivabene. “If they had come to see us in June, for example, we would have had more time to look into the matter. But come and talk with us after Monza (early September)…”

Maurizio Arrivabene also referred to Ferrari's proposal to power the Red Bull's single-seaters with Power Units from the 2015 season for next year, an idea unacceptable to Red Bull. “We need engineers trained by us to use our engines, as we do for Sauber and Manor. It can't be young people coming out of university...We would have to rethink all our plans.", specified the director of the Scuderia.
