Aston Martin as future engine manufacturer for Red Bull?

Following the announcements concerning changes in engine manufacturer for McLaren et Toro Rosso in 2018 and the prospect of seeing Red Bull provided by Honda in 2019, Taureau Rouge Team Principal Christian Horner made a mysterious statement evoking the arrival of a possible engine manufacturer in the future, in this case Aston Martin.

« Il y aura prochainement une annonce qui ne concerne pas Porsche ou Honda. Nous sommes déjà en relation avec un constructeur », said Christian Horner on Sky Sports in the Singapore GP paddock.

Red Bull partners with Aston Martin since 2016. The British brand is present on the sides of F1 from the Anglo-Austrian team. Le Taureau Rouge is also developing with the manufacturer the AM-RB 001 hypercar.

Invited to comment on the association of Toro Rosso and Honda, Christian Horner once again pointed out the current regulations concerning engines in F1.

“It shows how much damage this engine regulation has done. With what is in the pipeline for 2021 (where the regulations should evolve), I really hope that this will address the current shortcomings. added the Red Bull Racing Team Principal on ESPN F1.
