Aston Martin confident about Vettel extension

Where will be Sebastian Vettel en 2023 ? At the end of the contract next December, the four-time world champion has still not confirmed whether he will continue his career in F1 at the end of the current season or if he was going to retire, he who has just blown his 35e candle.
For several weeks now and while the “Silly season” is in full swing, various rumors concerning Sebastian Vettel have been circulating the paddock. The latest one shows interest on the part of McLaren to make the German the teammate of Lando Norris in 2023, thus replacing Daniel Ricciardo the results of which do not convince Zak Brown and company. Difficult to believe, however, that the Woking team could draw on its constantly growing pool of drivers with the recent arrival of Alex Palou from Chip Ganassi Racing.
Extension coming for Vettel?
On the side ofAston Martin, the trend is towards an extension of “Baby Schumi” six months from the end of his contract. Asked about the subject on the sidelines of the Austrian Grand Prix, Mike Krack, team principal of the English structure, hopes that the two parties will soon be able to find common ground to continue their collaboration beyond the 2022 campaign.

Sebastian Vettel for his part has not yet spoken out. The German who is 14e in the Drivers standings with 15 points perhaps awaits guarantees from Aston Martin including the car (AMR22) has struggled to show signs of progress since the start of the season. To be continued…
