After six decades of absence, the English firm is making its comeback in the grid starting next season.

Aston Martin begins its return to F1

For the first time since 1960, Aston Martin will be at the start of a Grand Prix of Formula 1. Lawrence Property Stroll, the Racing Point team will take the name of the legendary British manufacturer from 2021.

After much success in endurance in the GTE Pro category, Aston Martin has decided to leave the WEC in order to engage in the most famous of all motorsport arenas ". Already present as a sponsor of Red Bull Racing, the English firm now wants to join “ the elite as a builder ».

This is a truly global sport, with a huge audience, which we believe can help relaunch the brand and make it even more desirable around the world ».

Aston Martin will unveil its cars and liveries next February. For its return to Formula 1, the Gaydon firm will be led by Lance Stroll, previously Racing Point driver, and the new recruit, Sebastian Vettel.
