Aston Martin / Honda – Is the dream already fading?

Vibrations so strong they risk causing nerve damage to the drivers, a choked engine unable to last the duration of a Grand Prix, and a race used as a test session: is the marriage between Aston Martin and Honda already turning into a nightmare? Is there any way to salvage the situation?

Adrian Newey is not a media animal. For the British engineer to call a press conference on the hospitality terrace last Thursday in the Melbourne paddock, accompanied by the president of Honda Racing Corporation (HRC), Koji Watanabe, it means the situation is particularly worrying.

Or perhaps good old Toto, in a fit of generosity, volunteers to take a stake in Aston Martin in exchange for a "customer" version of a Mercedes engine, all while siphoning off Adrian's ideas! 😅

Unless a miracle happens, I don't see a way! The only way to save the season is to rebuild a modified car and put in the Mercedes engine… Regrettable for our friend Fernando and Adrian… and the whole team. alainkf1@pt.lu 😎🛞👎
