Aston Martin presents the AMR21

More than 60 years after his last participation in Grands Prix, Aston Martin is officially back in Formula 1 with the AMR21, unveiled this Wednesday during an elegant online presentation hosted by English actress and James Bond girl Gemma Arterton, with a surprise appearance by Tom Brady, NFL superstar and seven-time Superbowl winner, then outright Daniel Craig, James Bond on screen.

As expected since the announcement of the change of identity of the Silverstone team at the instigation of Canadian businessman Lawrence Stroll, the pink of former title sponsor BWT gives way to an elegant British Green.

 

Building on the technical partnership between Aston Martin and Mercedes, the AMR21 features the latest powertrain developed at Brixworth (UK), as well as the rear suspension and gearbox of the seven-time world champions in their 2020 specification.

At the start of the 2021 season, however, a wind of optimism is blowing over Aston Martin, which welcomed numerous partners this winter. Two and a half years after the bankruptcy of Force India, the Silverstone team seems to have the necessary ingredients to attack the high objectives set by the ambitious Lawrence Stroll.
