At least 3 team members tested for suspected Coronavirus

Faced with the threat of Coronavirus, the teams are taking no risks and are being particularly proactive. McLaren confirmed that one of its members had been placed in quarantine in the stable hotel after showing symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 disease.

Drug tests have been carried out but the Woking team do not know when the results will be available. Identical situation on the side of Haas, where two people are confined while awaiting the verdict of the analyses.

The atmosphere is already no longer really festive in Melbourne, where autograph sessions with drivers have been canceled and selfies are prohibited. Journalists must also keep their distance from runners and certain media sessions have been removed from the usual schedule.

Even though F1 communicated at the beginning of the week a series of measures to minimize the impact of the global epidemic ahead of the start of the season, it finds itself increasingly cornered. How will Liberty Media respond if one of the tests turns out to be positive?
