No relaxation at Mercedes

Si Mercedes once again dominates the world championship F1 in 2015, Toto wolff, boss of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport, recalls that the threat of competition, particularly coming from Team Ferrari is only stronger this season. As the debates resume in Belgium this weekend, the Austrian wants total commitment from his troops.

“With ten races completed and nine still remaining, we enter the second half of the season with more points at this stage compared to last year. And yet, our margin against the competition is smaller. There is no time when you can afford to take your foot off the gas and Hungary have proven once again that any relaxation is an opportunity our rivals will seize.

We all appreciated the chance to recharge our batteries over the summer, but we also kept our minds focused on what lies ahead. There are still many chances to win or lose this battle and we must continue our efforts tirelessly to emerge at the top. »

Last year, Belgium marked a turning point in Mercedes' season after the collision at the start of the race between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. If the Briton had been forced to retire, the former pilot McLaren then had five consecutive victories en route to his second world title.
