Audi Sport responds to rumors of an arrival

Following the latest speculations suggesting an arrival of Audi Sport in F1, the Ingolstadt manufacturer took the floor to deny these rumors at a time when the discipline's grid seems to be reduced to 18 cars following the difficulties encountered by Caterham and Marussia F1 Team.

The German manufacturer with 13 victories in 24 Hours of Le Mans, including a title last year in WEC and this season in DTM, assures that he is not interested in the discipline. “ Audi in F1? These rumors have been regularly debated for several years. This is still pure speculation without any basis. We are entered in WEC, DTM and GT. We will add the Audi Sport TT Cup on our program in 2015.”

If Audi is true about the age of these rumors, the manufacturer's response to the rings may not be trivial. The new Power Unit engine could attract new brands, which would also be excellent news for F1.
