Australia EL3: Hamilton ahead of Vettel

Before the qualifying session which will take place from 7 a.m. French time, Lewis Hamilton showed himself at the forefront during the third free practice session of the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. The pilot Mercedes was the fastest in 1'27 "867, the only driver to go below the 1’28 per lap mark. Unlike the two other sessions already contested, Mercedes did not achieve the double since Sebastian Vettel came to interpose his Ferrari SF15-T between Hamilton and Rosberg, almost seven tenths from the World Champion.

The Williams de Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa follow in 4th and 5th position ahead of the second Ferrari of Räikkönen, and the two Lotuses of Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado. Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso) and Felipe Nasr (Sauber) complete the top 10.

A top 10 from which the Red Bull RB11 Daniel Ricciardo, 15th, and Daniil Kvyat, 18th, and the McLaren de Magnussen 16th, and Button 17th. Like yesterday, the Manor of Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi did not take to the track.
